Carine Fabritius is a visual artist who is known for the rich colorful vividness of her works. She works with installation art, photographs, textile works and new technologies.
Fabritius has an experimental approach to traditional handicraft, finding new ways and materials to connect old textile techniques with contemporary art. In her installations she explores big and small scale space while connecting moving image and sound art to them. In photography, Fabritius builds miniature scenes in her studio which transform through long exposure and light techniques into realistic and emotional fantasy still images barely crossing the dream threshold.
Fabritius graduated MFA from the Department of Time and space at the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts in 2017. She is currently living and working in Helsinki, Finland.
